This needs analysis report presents the results of the research phase of the project “Youth Workers 2.0”. This document was generated based on a data collection in the form of an online survey. This survey was conducted in the four project partner countries – Spain, Austria, Romania and Hungary. The aim of the survey was to identify the needs and challenges of youth workers in terms of digital literacy.
The survey was developed for all youth workers working in, for example, NGOs, youth centers, private or public organizations, schools or educational institutions and social services for youth and young adults. Participants should be located in the EU (with a focus on Spain, Austria, Romania and Hungary).
- to find out the current state of digital skills knowledge.
- to understand what digital skills are needed by youth workers and what role they play.
- to identify gaps regarding the digital skills of youth workers.
- to find out which digital devices and apps youth workers use in their daily work.
In addition to the survey for youth workers (direct target group), a survey for young people was also prepared. The results of this survey are summarized in a separate report (see “Low skilled Youth -Needs Analysis Report”).
The results of both surveys will subsequently be used as the basis for the development of a digital guide. This will be developed in a later phase of the project.
